Dinner then Pee Pee in the Potty.

This evening we had friends over for dinner. I'm so excited to call them friends, because they are the first non-family friends I have since moving here 16 months, 3 weeks and 5 days ago. Its hard to make friends these days, its not like when you were in High School and you could pick and choose the people you wanted to hang out with.

Anyway we had Matthew and Jody over London's parents we had a great time. I will post some pictures as soon as Jody e-mails them to me... (hint hint Jody) hahaha. We had a nice dinner with Adult converstion which is hard to come by when you have a 19 month old. Little Lady had a blast with her friend, she was even trying to feed her some dinner. They chased each other and played with the vacume popper.

London is a couple months younger than Little Lady and she is already Potty Trained!!! WOW this kid is awesome not to mention she can count to 10 in english and spanish. Little Lady watched London go pee-pee in the potty, so she wanted to try it and she DID IT, SHE WENT PEE-PEE in the Potty! It was Awesome. We were all very proud of her. I think London even clapped.  I did't have my camera readly avaliable, darnit! So next time I will get a picture.

Thanksgiving and The Day After

For Thanksgiving we went to my cousin Kelly's house and had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal, with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing and cranberries. There was only about 9 adults and 2 kids, very nice and intimate and we were able to enjoy fun conversation. Little lady enjoyed hanging out with her big cousin and her little dog Gracie. We have so much to be thankful for this year.

I don't have any photos of our big Thanksgiving feast, however I do have many photos of the next day

After Thanksgiving (the next day) we decided to head up to Apple Hill, to a tree farm and cut down our very own Christmas Tree. Well we didn't actually cut it, you yell "cutter" and they come and cut it down for you, It's super fun and there are hundreds of trees to choose from. Little lady really enjoyed herself.

Here we are hiding in the trees.

We picked a good size tree, we wanted a tall one that was pretty full, we didn't realize how tall it was until we got home and didn't have a tree stand for the tree to fit, so I went to Target, Home Depot and finally Lowe's and that's where I found the perfect tree stand. You really get a perspective of how big our tree is when I stand next to it. Now I just have to decorate it. Yeah, I love Christmas.

What do you think? TO BIG?

Apple Hill

Yesterday was a great day. It started in the morning when I was getting ready to go to Apple Hill with London and Jody, and Little Lady was in the bathroom with me playing. I sneezed and Little Lady says "bes uoo". It was the first time she has ever said that. I was surprised and happy at the same time, it was the cutest thing. From that I though "Today is going to be a great day".

Jody and London met at my house at 9, I made us cozy coffee and off we went to Apple Hill. I must confess I was totally excited to have a new friend to do something with. We talked and talked, the girls were in the back laughing and having fun. When we got to Apple Hill we saw a 1500 lb pumpkin, some ducks and a bunch of crafts. We were a bit disappointed that the pony rides only go Friday to Monday. I thought "Why not Thursday, I mean there are some mom's out there who don't want to deal with the crowds on a weekend, can't we be open Thursday to Monday?"sign, Oh well. So we went and bought some fresh Apple Juice instead.

After Apple Hill, we decided to head back down the hill and get some lunch in Placerville, at the Buttercup Pantry. Food was pretty good the Apple Pie was awesome. From lunch we headed home to take naps. The girls were getting sleepy and us mom's were pretty tired to. Little Lady and I said good by to Jody and London and I put little lady down for a nap.

As I sipped my Apple Juice from Apple Hill I thought, what a great day.

The Yellow Chair

I reciently purchased a Yellow Chair. Some people,  even you may think that this is an ugly chair, but me I love it. After a little TLC it is nice and clean.

While cleaning the yellow chair I wondered where has this chair been, what was the family or person like who had this chair and why did they pick yellow.

Little lady has enjoyed the new chair as well, it is just the right height for her to climb on and sit ever so lady like. The best part about this chair is it was only 30 bucks.

November 11, 1999

It was 9 years ago today that Jason and I went on our first date. I ditched school to go on a motorcycle ride with him to Julian and Idlewild, cozy little towns east of San Diego in the mountains.
Since then we have lived in 7 houses and 5 different cities in California. We have expanded our family with a beautiful little girl and another puppy dog. We have traveled all over the US, by plane and by motorcycle. We have gone through ups and downs and I still get weak in the knees when he kisses me. We still laugh, play and giggle. We fight and argue. We love and respect each other, and after these last 9 years he is still my best friend and the one I love waking up with in the morning.

Getting Older

Ant: "Why do you wear Glasses?"

Me: "So I can see"

Ant: "Because you are getting OLD?"

Me: "Sadly yes, I'm getting Old"

Ant: "Yeah"...

A Sweet Message

Yesterday after I watched the kids in Big Top (big top is the day care area for 4-5 year olds that I volunteer for at my church) I went down stairs and saw this little boy named Caden, he was getting a piggy back ride from his sister So I ask

"Caden, what are you doing?"

He says "I'm getting a piggy back ride"

I say "Wow, that looks like fun do you think I can have a piggy back ride"

He says "No, you are to big, But God will give you a piggy back ride"

I smile, and my heart sings with happiness because this little boy has just made my day. Such sweet words from some one so young.

Weekend In Tahoe

This weekend we decided to take a little family trip to South Lake Tahoe. Aunt Donna was leaving on Monday, so we thought hey lets go be lazy and be surrounded by beautiful pine trees, and that is what we did.

We hung out and watched movies, walked around the shops at State Line and took beautiful walks. I love Tahoe its just so pretty. Little lady really enjoyed it to she ran up and down the streets, chased the dogs and collected some leaves and pine cones.

Madonna Sticky and Sweet Tour, San Diego NOV.4, 2008

It all started when I was about 5 years old. My cousin Karly introduced me to a girl called Madonna. The song was "Poppa Dont Preach". From then on I was hooked. We created a room called the Madonna Room at my dads house. It was a place where we my cousins (on my dads side) and I would listen to Madonna, play office and make up dance routines. We dressed like Madonna, had posters of her everywhere, even had to be called Madonna. My name was Madonna 2, my cousin Karly was Madonna 1. Some say I'm a little obessed, I say no, I just enjoy her music and like her no BS style

In May, I saw that she was going to be on tour so I got tickets and on Nov.4 my cousin Jessica, BFF K flew to San Diego, met up with my mom, and all went to the show. We had a blast and Madonna was amazing. This is the second time that I have seen her and every time I am in AWE. Then the next morning Jessica, K and I woke up at 5 am and caught the first flight out of San Diego. It was a whirl wind trip and we felt like jet setters. It was totally worth it!!!

Wine Tasting in Napa

Yesterday, Nov. 2. Was quite an amazing day, I dropped little lady off with T, and hubbie and I along with Jess, Will, Auntie and Poppa went wine tasting in Napa. We started off at Cakebread, we got to go on a tour of the facility and how they make there wines and even got to taste some of there grapes on the vines. YUM.

From Cakebread we went to Costentinos, that is quite delicious as well they only had a tasting bar no tours.

Then on to the Castle. NO Joke this winery is seriously a Castle with a dungeon, chapel, knights table and moat! We had fun there.

Then, finally we went to Rutherford where we got to go on tour of the facility and they have Caves actual caves where they house there wine to keep it cool. That was quite impressive.

It was a wonderful day topped off with dinner at Auberge du Solie.
(I don't have a picture of Auberge du Solie, my camera died when at the end of the Rutherford Hill tour.)

Happy Birthday Conrad

Prior to Trunk or Treat Little lady and I, along with London and her mom got to go to a Halloween Birthday party for Conrad who just turned 1. We played games and made goodie bags, and Conrads grandma even read us a story. It was lots of fun.

The birthday boy.

Little lady playing the toss in the ghost mouth game.

The girls in the chair. (They are thinking "oh gosh, do we really have to smile?)

Trunk or Treat

We had great fun on Halloween! We participated in Trunk or Treat. What that is, is I decorated the back of my truck and parked it in the parking lot of our church and all the little kids, parents and teens went around to each car and said "Trunk or Treat". K came up to visit and help out while daddy took little lady around to trunk or treat.

My trunk decorated.

Here is one...

Butterfly Costume

Today we met grandpa at his office for a Halloween lunch. I put little lady in her real costume so her grandpa could see her. She had fun, she ate, played and got to be the center of attention.

On our way home she passed out, I just couldn't resist snapping a photo of the little sleeping butterfly.

Here is the Little Lady in her, super cute tu-tu (Thanks auntie Jocelyn and Uncle Mark) we had dress up day at gymnastics for Halloween, so we dressed up as a little ballerina. Last week she graduated from explorer gym to toddler gym. This week was a little different starting a new class and new teacher. Luckly her friend London was in class with her to help her out.

Fake Sick Day

Since I didn't have the blog when this happened, I thought it was to cute not to share it.

Last Monday my cousin T called me and said, "Hey Ant is sick can you pick him up from my work and take care of  him today?"

My response "Absolutely, sure".

I pick up the Ant Man and we hang out all day and play.

so Tuesday rolls around and I get a call from T.  "Hey Ant is still not feeling well,  can you pick him up from my work again and take care of  him today?"

My response "Um...(a little suspicious) sure".

I pick up Ant man and we hang out and play and he seems fine so I ask, "Ant, did you fake being sick so you could stay and play with me again today?"

Ant says "ummm... yeah"

My heart says Awwww.... Love him.

How cute is my husband

Since this is my new blog, I feel that I should post up many different blogs today.  Recently I received this from my wonderful hubbie.

"The randomness of life brought us together
love & respect made us one
how lucky we are for such a chain of events
as many spend their lives searching for what we share
joy, sorrow, laughs, hugs, passion
true love has been a blessing in our lives
hour after hour, month after month, year after year
we share our lives together, growing closer every moment
time will pass - family, friends & the world will come & go
but at the end of it all, there will always be our love"

How true it is...

Starting a Blog

I have decided to start a blog, I don't know why? I'm not a good writer, but I enjoy reading everyone else's blog, so I thought hey maybe someone might be interested in reading my blog.  So here it is day one of blogging.

I'm in my house, with a sprained ankle and a runny nose. Thank goodness for my cousin. She has taken my little lady to story time.  I really don't know what I would do with out her. I must confess I enjoy having the entire house all to my self. YEAHHHH!!! regardless of the sprained ankle or runny nose.
