Thanksgiving and The Day After

For Thanksgiving we went to my cousin Kelly's house and had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal, with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, stuffing and cranberries. There was only about 9 adults and 2 kids, very nice and intimate and we were able to enjoy fun conversation. Little lady enjoyed hanging out with her big cousin and her little dog Gracie. We have so much to be thankful for this year.

I don't have any photos of our big Thanksgiving feast, however I do have many photos of the next day

After Thanksgiving (the next day) we decided to head up to Apple Hill, to a tree farm and cut down our very own Christmas Tree. Well we didn't actually cut it, you yell "cutter" and they come and cut it down for you, It's super fun and there are hundreds of trees to choose from. Little lady really enjoyed herself.

Here we are hiding in the trees.

We picked a good size tree, we wanted a tall one that was pretty full, we didn't realize how tall it was until we got home and didn't have a tree stand for the tree to fit, so I went to Target, Home Depot and finally Lowe's and that's where I found the perfect tree stand. You really get a perspective of how big our tree is when I stand next to it. Now I just have to decorate it. Yeah, I love Christmas.

What do you think? TO BIG?

WOW!!! Mel and I upgraded to a 7-footer and thought we were special! Madeline looks so cute and by the way thanks for the Christmas card. We're heading home to Louisiana tomorrow to spend Christmas with our families...I think they're more excited about seeing Avery. Mel's brother hasn't seen her since she was born and he's so looking forward to seeing her.
